Transport operations are a complex interplay of multiple disciplines. Therefore, it is desirable to be able to look at the same operation with different views. Simacan offers a three-part or 3-in-1 transport view for this purpose. Transport operations can thus be viewed at trip level with the Trip List; at shipment level with the Shipment Status or at asset level (trucks, trailers or drivers) with the Transport Asset Status. This makes it easy to view detailed and related information about a trip, shipment or asset. These views show information across multiple trips, vehicles and locations. Clearly marking planned versus actual status.

With these three transport views, shippers and carriers have a full visibility and real-time view of all their trips, shipments and assets. GDPR-compliant; with only the real-time data authorised and relevant for them. If transport is outsourced to contracted carriers, these trips, shipments or vehicles can also be monitored by the client.

Planning, customer service & support

All planners within the supply chain have access to the three different views. With only the real-time data authorised and relevant for them. Planners responsible for asset allocation (trucks, trailers, drivers) can see real-time time buffers. So capacity can be monitored at a glance. This across different systems and parties (cross-functional and cross-chain). While taking into account both actual and forecasted traffic. Existing tools in Simacan support adjustments in transport execution. Among other things, vehicles, allocation or planning can be adjusted. And if necessary, easily communicated to involved shippers, carriers, drivers and/or customers. Customer service or support departments at carriers can also access Shipment Status. This allows them to answer questions from (end) customers about the status of shipments.

Recipients of goods have insight into the status of their ordered or incoming goods with the shipment overview. These shipments are provided with accurate ETAs, based on actual and forecast traffic information.

You can easily monitor your transport operation from your preferred view. And switch to another view with just one click. This way you can easily monitor all your trips, consignments and assets in relation to each other. Thus, shipments in LTL or groupage transport can also be easily monitored.

Your transport operation in relation to the supply chain

These views are available for all stakeholders from the relevant supply chain. This concerns only their own real-time transport information, seen in relation to the entire chain. Filtering is possible based on fixed information such as carrier, sender, location or consignee. But also on dynamic information such as current status or ETA.
