The Simacan Control Tower is one of our most important systems. It helps organizations in the transport and logistics sector to digitize their delivery processes. Through our cloud-based platform, so many Dutch people experience the benefits of this digitalization on a daily basis. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will help the software engineers work efficiently in our various AWS clusters. In addition, you monitor the security of these clusters.

What will you be doing at Simacan?
The team you will be joining, Product Engineering, consists of about 20 driven engineers, with a healthy mix of experience. They work together in smaller development teams based on Scrum. We do this in an environment that revolves around TDD and CI/CD. Together we take on projects that continuously improve our cloud platform and thus the service to our customers.

Within the Infra subteam, you will monitor and manage our Cloud infrastructure. Implementation of Infrastructure-as-a-Service is an important part of this. You will also make suggestions to keep our infrastructure under control in terms of costs. You do this based on your knowledge of the latest developments in the field of Cloud infrastructure.

Besides using your knowledge in the Infra team, you help your colleagues within Product Engineering with infrastructure issues and include your stakeholders in the activities carried out within the Infra team.
