Welcome Hakan

Hi Hakan! Welcome to Simacan, can you tell us something about yourself?
Hi! Thank you. My name is Hakan. I'm 33 years old (young) and live in Amersfoort - Vathorst. I prefer to spend most of my time with my family. Until the lockdown we tried to travel and taste different cultures as much as possible, we hope we can pick this up again soon. Besides being a fanatic soccer supporter, I really enjoy spending my time filming and photographing.

Of course you started at Simacan in a crazy time, despite it all we hope you had a good start. How was your first impression of Simacan?
Very crazy times we're in! I think I am lucky to have been able to spend my first day at the office. My first impression of Simacan is nothing but positive. The goal we want to achieve as an organisation and the cooperation in this is what really appeals to me.

Where did your working life start?
Up until my current position at Simacan, I actually took a whole different route and tasted different sectors. My first acquaintance with Sales and Customer Contact was during my work within a retail organisation. I could apply the knowledge and experience I gained there as an inside sales employee within the automotive industry and eventually as a recruiter/sales consultant at a recruitment agency.

Can you tell us more about your new role at Simacan? What is your job description and what are you looking forward to most?
As a B2B Sales Developer at Simacan I am involved in the entire commercial process. I will be involved in identifying and contacting potential clients. I am looking forward to using my enthusiasm and conversation skills to identify the client's needs and wants and enthuse them about how Simacan can contribute to this.

Anything else you would like to say?
I hope that soon we will all be able to sit down together, have lunch and fun - and competitive wise - I challenge my colleagues to a game in the game room!
